In the effort to keep artists, art patrons and others informed and up to date we have established and maintain a new blog for you, named after our quarterly publication, ArtSpace.

The ArtSpace blog reports on everything going on in the art world, from call to artist and gallery openings in the area (focused on Orange County, but includes the region as well), to grant application information from our Community Grants to other agencies and organization grant opportunities, as well as political information on the state and local level that deals with the arts.  

We have also started a fun Artist Interviews to area artists to give you the opportunity to learn a bit more about the person behind the art.

Take a look, leave a comment, start a conversation, bookmark the blog and even subscribe to keep yourself up to date on arts in Orange County.

Arts in Orange (AiO) is funded though the New York State Council on the Arts to administer grant money, which will be available to fund arts projects in Orange County occurring during 2011.  Sign up now for a workshop to apply for an ACG!  To sign up for a workshop, or for more information, call 845.956.0005 or email.

It's Free and EASIER!  Do you have an upcoming cultural arts event in Orange County?  Post it on the Arts in Orange (AiO) web calendar.  The web calendar is available to both AiO members and the general public to list all artistic discipline events in Orange County.

It's simple.  Go to "Calendar" on the Home Page (left menu bar).  Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Add New Entry".  Then, add your information.  You don't have to follow our format, but information must be complete to be posted (i.e. name of event, brief description, location including street address and town, admission, contact information).  Be sure to include a contact number in case we have any questions about your entry.
